Valves for cryogenic applications
High requirements
A gas or liquid is in a cryogenic (or cryogenic) state when its temperature is well below the boiling point. Many materials become brittle upon contact with such media and can thereby create a defect in the system and allow the medium to flow out. If you come into contact with media of low-temperature technology, this can lead to fatal injuries and frostbite. For this reason, demanding requirements are placed on the components used.
The low-temperature valves from GSR have been specially developed for the high requirements of cryogenics and can be used in many industries. They are used in many ways by the food industry in foodfrosting, in plant systems and up to molecular cuisine.
Our extensive product range includes both solenoid valves and valves with pneumatic actuators and is designed for applications with media temperatures down to -196 °C.
The GSR cryo valves are made of stainless steel or brass and are equipped with a very robust PTFE or PEEK seal. Depending on the requirements, these are available with threaded connection in nominal widths of 1/4 to 2 inches. NPT threads, weld-on ends or flanges according to ANSI/JIS are also possible. The pressure range is between 0 and 40 bar, depending on the application.
